GE-Flash for Windows 2000/XP

GE Phoenix, Delta & Ranger Programming

GE-Flash is a complete programming system for GE Phoenix, Delta and Ranger radios. GE-Flash is a real Windows Win32 application that runs on Windows 2000 or XP with parallel port interface.

Virtual X2212 Emulator
Download and Emulate X2212 Images
to your Phoenx from GE-Flash via RS-232!

The VX2212 directly replaces the X2212 EPROM in the radio and and allows direct downloading of EPROM images from GE-Flash using a standard RS-232 interface. No X2212 chip or parallel port programmers required!

Micro-RC Repeater Controller Project
A Modern Repeater Controller Design

The Micro-RC is an all new GNU open source modern repeater controller design. The hardware is built around the Atmel Mega1281 processor and the MXCOM MX828 PL encoder/decoder chip. These two chips allow advanced features and functionality in a super compact all surface mount design. Check out the Micro-RC controller page for news and additional project information.

07/18/07 - GE-FLASH v1.00.24 RELEASE

This release include a minor bug fix for the repeater offset generate button. In the previous release, the minus offset button had the VHF /UHF offset values swapped.

07/17/07 - MICRO-RC UPDATE

We've made lot's of progress on the firmware for Micro-RC the past several months thanks to additional programming help contributions from Skip WB6YMH. Skip has a first cut of the digital squelch working and the PL decode functionality has been improved. In addition, lots of new configuration and DTMF commands have been added. Check out the Micro-RC page for additional details.

03/27/07 - ISP CHANGE - NEW EMAIL ADDRESS

Please note I've changed internet service providers and my new email address is now kg4lne@comcast.net. Please use this email address contact me in the future.

02/23/07 - GE-FLASH 1.00.23 WITH VX2212 SUPPORT NOW AVAILABLE

The latest release of GE-Flash with VX2212 support is now available for download. I have a very limited introductory supply of VX2212 boards available. This is the first batch of boards and these are fully assembled and tested.

01/17/07 - WANTED!! PHOENIX-SX 32 CHANNEL PROGRAMMING DOCUMENT

I've been working to add support for the Phoenix-SX 32 channel UHF wideband units. These units have a single channel change button and 7-segment display similar to the non-scanning 16 channel units. However, these units are somewhat odd in the EPROM data format. If anyone can provide info or the GE programming doc's on this radio it would be greatly appreciated!

12/21/06 - VX2212 PROGRESS!

We now have the VX2212 downloading EPROM images from GE-Flash via a standard serial port! So far we have tested the VX2212 in the Phoenix SX 16 and 2 channel units. Special thanks go out to Gary Dion N4TXI for contributing his excellent firmware development and debugging talents to this project. The VX2212 allows direct downloading of the radio programming image to your radio via a standard RS232 port using GE-Flash! No more X2212 chips or parallel programmers required!
